Inspiring fans to embrace women’s lacrosse, cheer on Team Canada and set new records (twice!) for attendance at the internatioanl under-19 level

Leading the Porch Pirate food drive volunteers – 2018-2023
Coordinating hundreds of volunteers to collect 184,540 pounds of food over seven events, including a record-breaking 54,000 pounds in November 2021

Leading Peterborough This Week’s newsroom as editor in chief as it overtook, then purchased the rival Peterborough Examiner
Breaking records for online readership - 2003-18
Developing the monthly readership of Peterborough This Week’s news site, MyKawartha.com, to levels that surpassed larger regions, including Mississauga, Barrie and Halton
Feeding 17,000 people with the Great Turkey Exchange – 2009-2021
Soliciting donations of turkeys and hams then distributing them to families who otherwise wouldn’t have the dignity of a traditional Christmas dinner
Rebranding Homegrown Homes – 2004
Replacing the cumbersome Peterborough Community Housing Development Corporation into a name and brand that reflected its roots
Launching the brand and funds behind YES Shelter – 1999-2001
Educating the public about the need for a youth emergency shelter while securing funds to hire the first executive director and renovate the Brock Street facility

2. Raising Money for Worthy Causes
Creating a movement to secure a $100,000 Aviva Community Grant - 2015
Mobilizing hundreds of people to vote online daily to earn a finalist spot, then convincing a panelist of judges that our fifth-place popular vote deserved the funds
Closing more than $1 million in social bonds for affordable housing - 2013-16
Enlightening donors about this new type of funding based on a pooled mortgage, then negotiating new terms as conditions changed, while retaining all donors
